Ralphie May Obituary, Death: Ralphie May, the beloved stand-up comedian known for his sharp wit and larger-than-life presence, passed away at the age of 45. His untimely death has left a profound impact on the comedy world and his fans worldwide.  Born on February 17, 1972, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and raised in Arkansas, Ralphie May’s journey to comedic stardom began with a second-place finish on the inaugural season of Last Comic Standing in 2003. This achievement catapulted him into the national spotlight, leading to numerous television appearances and a series of successful comedy specials. His performances, characterized by their candid humor and fearless commentary on societal issues, resonated with audiences across the country.

At the time of his death, May was in the midst of a residency at Harrah’s Las Vegas and had recently been honored as Casino Comedian of the Year at the Global Gaming Expo. The Clark County Coroner’s Office in Nevada confirmed that May died from hypertensive cardiovascular disease, a condition linked to high blood pressure. Ralphie May’s legacy extends beyond his stand-up comedy. He was a father to two children, April June and August James, and was previously married to fellow comedian Lahna Turner.
