Andrew Mixon Obituary, Death: The Frisco community is mourning the untimely passing of Andrew Michael Mixon, a cherished son, brother, and friend, who died on March 23, 2025, at the age of 37. Born on August 8, 1987, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Andrew was the son of Miranda Lynn Mixon and Clifton Roy. Raised in Frisco, Texas, he attended Frisco High School, where he was a standout cross-country runner, achieving a #3 state ranking. His athleticism and determination were evident both on and off the track.
After high school, Andrew pursued a career in insurance and financial services, founding The Mixon Agency. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his clients were hallmarks of his professional life. Outside of work, Andrew enjoyed golfing, attending Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks games, and spending quality time with his family, especially during their travels. He held a special bond with his grandmother, affectionately known as “GrammaLu,” cherishing their summers together in Iowa. Andrew is survived by his father, Clifton Roy; his siblings, Quartney Mixon, Dominique Thompson, and Christian Roy; his girlfriend, Erika McCloud; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Miranda, and his grandmother, Lucy Mixon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Andrew’s memory. A repass ceremony will be held in Frisco, Texas, with details to be provided by the family. The Frisco community has come together to support the Mixon family during this difficult time.
